DLH wouldn't fight him years ago, so why the hell would he do it now? After the Lockett fight, I'm sure Winky could get a shot at Pavlik if he'd call him out again and just STFU, accept whatever ****in offer he's given, and sign. He's fast becomin a forgotten man since he lost a dull fight to Hopkins and priced himself outta every chance for a comeback. He's wastin his last days wit this bull****.

I like Wright, but this is true...

He has not won a fight since December of 2006. If he wants a title shot then he needs to get into the ring and earn it.

Winky Wright is a prick. Shouldn't he have to beat somebody to get a shot at Pavlik. I would rather see Calzaghe or Abraham in with Pavlik first.

Maybe so but it won't happen in September.

I know, but if he has been off for a year and really wants to fight DLH, he won't mind waiting a few more months. Not to say the fight is going to happen.

And I agree with the people that have said Winky has to work his back into contention. He can't expect to come back from a 1 year layoff without beating much less fighting a top middleweight in almost two years and go straight into a title shot against the middleweight champion of the world.

I agree with you there. The last thing you want to do after an uninspiring showing is take a year or more off.

Why so he can bore us to death and cry at the end because he thought he got robed. Winky should stay where he is, boxing is much better off without him.

I don't understand why winky feels he even feels he is in the same class as Pavlik right now. With how things are looking Pavlik will stay busy with worthy opponents & maybe the winkster can get a shot at DLH after his 3rd or so rematch with the great "Money" Mayweather.
It will probably be held in someone's backyard since limited seating won't be a problem...

I would like to see Pavlik vs. Wright! Their styles would be perfect for each other. Wright should fight someone for the time being though. I think at this point, Pavlik would beat Wright and maybe even knock him down.

I wouldn't mind seeing DLH vs Winky either but I agree with Silencers98 in that Oscar probably won't pick such a bad stylistic match up, for his last fight.
