Shiet...Pacquiao IS as close to a modern day Duran as it gets. Minus the mullet.

I'm personally waitin to see Paq get in a real fight. I mean his people are steering him down a safe path that goes straight down the middle, they're not takin any real chances with him. I mean as great as Paq supposedly is, lol why wasn't there been a Guzman/Soto fight?

He's livin off of the Barrera and Morales name and runnin with that. Every opponent of his after the first Marquez and Morales fight have been carefully picked for him. And now he's bein moved up from a great division which had HUGE FIGHTS to be made, to a weak division.

It's right infront of everyones eyes, lol he's bein meticulously handled, his handlers are like surgeons, carefully placing him around. But thats how big he is in the Phillipines, they can't afford to see him lose or get exposed (which he does, every time he fights a smart 2 handed fighter with decent speed .)

But I don't expect a real interesting Pacqiaou match-up anytime soon. I mean, maybe toward the end of his career he'll take that single chance, but I really doubt it. The guy is being treated like a Chess piece, I really don't see him bein put into any danger.

I still think he'll have trouble with some lightweights, especially all the upcoming guys. But as for the main names being mentioned, I think Campbell and Juan Diaz would just walk right through him. Both of em are too big and have that decent speed that Paq can't deal with.

As for David Diaz, he's a big thick guy, might give him problems early, but his hands are really slow. I won't be surprised if Paq gets a hard fought decision win, or if Diaz gets the same.

the only handlers that decides thing right now is not filipino. it's arum with some input from roach.

he's a cash cow right now and they're trying to milk him for all it's worth. i think they're going the path of most money not least resistance.

the only 130 lber left is probably guzman and he's really not a big name and not worth much money (not trying to sound like a floyd defender here but i think we can all agree manny's not that bad)

130 might be deeper than 135 but i don't think staying at 135 is the point. they want a big money fight with hatton and you don't go from 130 to 140. 135 was the next step.

To think Paq is soley bein Controlled by Arum and Roach is foolish I'd think. It seems like theres alot of outside people havin an influence on Paq's career.

But reguardless, I think Paq is gonna have a nice carefull path planned for him. And I think his entire future is based on how he looks against Diaz.

I mean Soto and Guzman were both fighting for a shot at Paq when they squared off, and they both showed great chins, speed, and power. That was suppose to be next for Soto and Guzman, a Paq fight. lol But after the second Marquez fight, plans obviously changed. I don't doubt Roach suggested Paq to avoid Soto and Guzman. Emanuel Steward did the same thing when he had Hamed. He made sure Juan Marquez couldn't fight Hamed.

So if Paq doesnt look good against Diaz, I wouldn't be surprised if they went straight back down in weight lol. Or they might just give up on trying to move him carefully and just keep him at lightweight to catch a couple beatings, maybe a couple tune up wins etc etc, then off to get smashed. I don't know, have to see how the Diaz fight goes.

Mayan Sun is the biggest hypocrite I have seen in this forum. For all his talk of Pacquiao not living up to the hype he actually thinks Guzman who nicknamed lil tyson but hasnt got a KO in 4 years lives up to his. He couldnt beat Pac if his life depended on it at 130 let alone at 135

you lol a little too much. too cynical against pac.

i think all the guys involved (filipino) are too busy on helping pac "invest" his money i don't really think they're involved in the boxing side. those guys are probably not knowledgable enough to know who to avoid.

as far as guzman or soto. i can see how roach would think it's a bad matchup against guzman but soto? i don't think soto can beat manny to be honest with you.

as far as being not surprised if manny moves back down if he doesn't look good at 135. isn't that the point of testing the waters at 135?

nobody sets up their guy to lose. especially promoters. fact. i don't see juan manuel and marco jumping at guzman and soto either. maybe it's the money? or is marquez and marco immune from such accusations?

lol Guzman would dance circles around Paq and make him pay 10 fold for havin such horrible footwork.

You think Marquez looks impressive snappin Paq's head back all the time? Makin Paq look foolish? Thats not even prime Marquez, thats Marquez at half speed lol. Guzman was the best at 130. Hands down, too fast and too accurate.
