Actually Lacy was quite quick, he was just one of these guys who were better at the end of the fight, not the beginning.
Lacy was not as explosive, but he could come up with a pretty good combo and was strong as a mule.

Hardly any boxing skills though, too square, walks onto punches, loses momentum too easily. Haye is a much more skilled fighter than Lacy, he may have a weaker chin, but we only have one fight that shows any real evidence of this.

Poor poor comparison.
Oh no, the comparison was not their skill level, it was that Haye's career will be a lot like Lacy's, looked good against "decent" opposition and got killed against the first elite fighter he faced.
And don't talk to me "skills" and "haye" in one sentence. Haye's balance is downright atrocious and his punching technique is of a multiple sclerosis victim.
I've read many of your post and found many of them to be well thought out and generally unbiased. This is not a thread to entice anyone to argue. I really want to understand what everyone that likes him sees that I don't. I've watched MANY fighters (like the one in your avatar) during their prime and I can honestly say I'm missing the boat on Haye. I'm more interested in your thoughts as to why he's viewed with so much optimism than an argument.
Look am not sold on Haye at HW either and i agree with you on all the thread that try to make him the second coming, just like hatton before he fought Mayweather... but to call the him a TOTAL BUM just doesnt make me want to even discuss boxing on these thread.
He aint a bum, but he aint all he's cracked up to be. I mean he's good, and has balls as evidenced by his bouts in cruiserweight ala fighting in a foreign country to become champ, and taking on the other main man (debatable I know) at Cruiserweight. Many fighters would not have done this. Even my favourite Hatton!
I just think he should stop talking like it's going to be easy cleaning out the heavyweights.

There are three fights where he has been floored by former LHWs, so I think his chin deserves the criticism. Is he a bum? Hell no. Anyone that almost completely unifies a division by his 22 fight, has power in spades, is very quick for a big man, and comes to fight, is not even close to a bum. I still think Wlad smokes him, but he is a welcome bit of excitement to the HW division.
