Why do people think so highly of Antonio Margarito?

He's failed so many times! Cotto is going to win and I think it may even be by KO.

Can someone please explain to me why anyone is giving Margarito a cat in hell's chance in this fight!? I'm so confident that Cotto is gonna win that I've got all my points on him winning with Addison.

Do you just discount the Williams and Santos performances? Don't get me wrong, he's clearly a decent fighter but is in no shape or form an elite performer.

why do people think that people think Tony is some incredible elite boxer? no one thinks that. Margarito fans know what he's capable of and what he isn't. the man comes to fight and thats what he does. no one here is saying Tony is going to outbox Cotto or Mayweather. but everyone knows Margo is going to throw everything he has at them.

Tony's a badass warrior. Some of his fans are delusional and think he's invincible, which ain't true. But he's still a beast who's got what it takes to beat Cotto.

Durability as in ability to block punches with his face and keep up coming. Stamina, as in throwing, be it flush or wide miss, over and over. Strength. He's one tough WW. He has the right tools to walk right through punches and overwhelm his opposition.

I have been screaming on this board for years, Margarito is just a tough fighter, nothing more, nothing less.

Cotto will win the fight easily on the scorecards, Margarito might give him some tough time but a good boxer would have no problems with him and I think Cotto is by far a better boxer.

He is a beast and I do admire that he comes to fight, but so do Danny Williams and Michael Gomez and I don't see anyone thinking they're going to be winning any world titles any time soon.

I just don't see this fight as being all that competitive, and can't understand why anyone would give Margarito a chance.

As an afterthought, boy am I gonna look dumb if Tony wins haha!

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

Addison took the thrashing to end all thrashings in the dome the other week and hasn't been heard from since.
