Diego, when you have to make a thread like this, and pretend you like a fighter just in case he wins, it just goes to show how many times you have been wrong in the past.
Perhaps because your boxing knowledge is as limited as the Lacy you were so quick to call the man.

Yeah, real shame how you weren't even around to KNOW THAT. Lacy-Calzaghe was a 50/50 fight because nobody knew anything about either of them. It was a big question mark fight. Everybody figured Calzaghe was ducking good fights his whole career for a reason. Turns out he is good, but obviously even HE didn't know he was good (or he would have taken big fights) so how could any of his current "fans" know he was good? You have been annihilated, friend.

Calzaghe tried to get big fights but no one wanted to know.

Oh yeah, because all of those well-known superstars were knocking on his door, right?
Calzaghe wouldn't have gotten a fight with someone like Roy Jones back then because most American boxing fans are like you "whose dis Euro***? What's he done to earn a fight wit Jones? He ain't even been on HBO. Jones by KO in da 1st round". You have more interest in the fights of a random American than a top European fighter, especially if the European hasn't fought in your country.
Non-Americans are constantly criticised for not having fought the top American fighters, but when the subject is raised of such a match-up happening, Americans take the attitude of "what would a fight do for big name American? Why should he fight him?". It happens time and time again.
Calzaghe is a great example. On the one hand it's "Why didn't he fight Jones" and then when it's mentioned that the fight wasn't wanted by Jones it's suddenly "why should Jones have fought him? He was a nobody".
You make up your mind before you know the facts, and then interpret events in a way that suits that.
