I would thank you a lot if you provided me with a link to that story.

Im glad you mention the margarito fight because he said thats how he was training like it was for Margarito expecting just to steam roll Quitana...he ovber looked him..plain and simple....calm down.

Sparring only with righties when your scheduled to fight a lefty? Who's the ass? During a recent interview, he was asked what he was doing differently in this training camp, as oppose to his first camp. His answer was "nothing". I have heard nothing of him sparring with Collazo.

I didn't like the fact that he said he was doing nothing different in training camp, I would've at least liked to hear him say he's working on a few things.

GL: What are the differences between this camp and your last one?

Paul Williams: "Basically nothing really. I've been working like I've always worked. I don't believe it was a weight issue for me, I just believe I had an off night. Everybody has an off night, it wasn't my night, but I'm going back to being my old self on Saturday night."

Qunitana obtained his victory last time through well timed counter punching, not through walking Williams down and hitting him, so respect for Williams power doesn't really enter into it too much.

If the next fight goes differently and Quintana does have to be the agressor then the question will be whether he can catch Williams. Williams will not be punching to keep Quintana off him, but moving.

The most important factor in this fight will be whether Williams tries to walk Quintana down like he did last time, in which case the outcome will be the same, or if he boxes smarter and tries to force Quintana to atack, in which case I think Williams will win.
Damn I love when people actually know boxing.

Its like Deevel didnt see the fight or something.

Paul admited that he tarined for Quitana the same way he trained for Margarito.

With that said, im still putting my money on Quintana to beat him a second time around. First, Quintana has the confidence of having a win going into this second fight. Second, like i stated, Paul is a fine boxer with a long reach advantage, and has a high workrate, but that alone isnt going to beat Quintana. Quintana is a slick boxer who shows all kinds of angles while fighting. He doesnt just stand in front of you to get hit ala Margarito. Paul Williams biggest flaw in my opinion is his lack of power. Remember how he couldnt even put down that Pakau guy? Williams hit him with everything but the kitchen sink, and that little guy STILL kept coming forward unfazed. Quintana knows this, and will not hesitate to take chances so that he can get his own shots in. Williams has no leverage on his punches. He throws mainly arm punches. If he had the power of Hearns, he will be one dangerous mofo.

Taking bets: I have 10k on Quintana. Anyone interested???

You are right Williams does not have the power to hurt Quintana. But I don't think he needs it to win the fight. Williams was a bit sluggish and slow to the punch on that night. And it really took him almost half the fight to get out of his funk. If you go back and watch the latter stages of the fight you can see Qunitana's stamina slowing quite a bit. But he did just enough down the stretch with counters to hold Williams off.

I think Paul will be a lot more crisper early on. And he has to be because if he doesn't Quintana will pull out another decision.

I thought Williams was far too confident of victory. I think he thought that since Quintana had been destroyed by Cotto, and he had beaten Margarito, he was in a different class or something. There was a lot of hype about him back then.

I couldn't believe I was watching the same fighter I'd seen against Margarito. Where was the movement and speed? I think he thought he could just walk up to Quintana and blow him out of there.

If Williams boxes to his strengths then I think he's a handful for anyone, so I hope in future he makes sure that he does.

Yeah, I read that earlier, he better have worked on a few things if he wants to win this fight.

Williams never wins fights wit power, just wit volume. He don't gotta land hard, he just needs to land a lot. I don't think he will tho. Carlos has his #.
