No they didn't. But it was still awesome. It takes a lot of guts to throw those in the first round. Right hand leads are typically used when the other guy has slowed down. Ali used it to humiliate Foreman from the opening bell, thereby demonstrating his speed and superiourity over the proud Foreman. Ali took an incredible risk but got away with it.
