what you could point out is how much credit he gives Floyd for beating Baldomir because he was THE undisputed WW champ, but was also a fighter who had 9 losses and who's most meaningful win came against Zab Judah, but how he discredits Calzaghe for beating Hopkins regardless of the fact he was THE middleweight champ, regardless of the fact that Hopkins has had more meaningful wins than Baldomir to the point where his carrer is considered legendary and is a certified HOF'mer. I mean, you COULD point that out in turn showing his blatant hypocrisy, but thats up to you.

Looks like you got their first, but really as a brit I'm not actually as familiar enough with the ins and outs of the value of Floyd's wins as some of you US guys are.what you could point out is how much credit he gives Floyd for beating Baldomir because he was THE undisputed WW champ, but was also a fighter who had 9 losses and who's most meaningful win came against Zab Judah, but how he discredits Calzaghe for beating Hopkins regardless of the fact he was THE middleweight champ, regardless of the fact that Hopkins has had more meaningful wins than Baldomir to the point where his carrer is considered legendary and is a certified HOF'mer. I actually agree with him up to a point, I think that stylistically Dawson would be the toughest test out there for Calzaghe right now and it would be my fight of choice in pure boxing terms.
I just take exception to the notion that 'Calzaghe has to fight Dawson to prove himself' which is nonsense. Whatever glowing assessment of Dawson's potential I or anyone else might make it is based on an opinion about potential, not fact, and in reality a Dawson fight would do little but please boxing purists, it wouldn't prove anything.Comment

I'd like to see them.who said that? the boxing world? i can show you the odds, polls, analysis of the fight saying the opposite of what you claim, but will you return to the thread to address the post? because you havent in the past. neither has the other fools who keep claiming that everyone thought Floyd was gonna lose to Baldomir, Hatton, DLH.Comment

within the boxing world, people figured floyd would win desicions, yes, i mean, honestly, since 2003 its been really near impossible for anyone to pick against floyd, but within the realm of this board, the wish factor has definately been in full effect.
either way unless floyd moves to 154, hes going to be favored against ANYONE he fights, and its been that way since i think chico coralles, that was the last time i thought he would likely get knocked out, and he was the underdog anyway.Comment
