As Tengoshi said, Armstrong was very past his prime and pretty much begged Robinson to fight him so that he could get the money.

As I said, he fought and beat the best of the time except for Charley Burley.

The tape measure incident occurred before the fourth fight with Fullmer. The money incident occurred before the third fight (which was a draw).

It's interesting that Robinson would be able to get a draw (especially when he was on the cusp of being shot) against Fullmer when he was losing/lost the first two fights on points. The scorecards are pretty wild too, 11-4, 5-9, 8-8, which suggests controversy.

Yeah I actually got that awhile ago (Oakland Billy Smith) I dont remember from whom, but I think Yogi... I think there is agreement on that fight being the only existing footage of Burley.
