Cotto's name has grew considerably since his urkal fight (which i believe was in the early part of 07) due to the fact he's won against Judah, Mosley, and put on a beatdown on free HBO to top it off since then...

And a rematch with mosley WOULD raise his stock and even though i see mosley as past his prime in all fairness it was a close fight so its not that this rematch is completely crazy BUT i think the mayweather v. cotto fight should happen FIRST...

Not from the business sense either; for the fans and for cotto...

its not fair to cotto to have mayweather dangled in front of his face before every fight with the idea of, "win against your next opponent and that will set up a mayweather fight" but after he wins its like, "okay; beat the NEXT guy and you'll get a chance at mayweather" and so on and so on.

Originally Mosley was the fight that cotto needed to win to get to mayweather...

then it was Margarito (who he fights next month) and NOW they say fight mosley again and THEN you can fight mayweather.

if cotto fights mosley and wins the rematch whats next? they'll say he needs to fight and beat paul williams because he would be the only other welterweight (that matters in the rankings) who he hasnt fought and beat.

I think its unfair to the fans and to cotto who hasn't lost a pro fight while (at the same time) fighting the very best of the division. Cotto hasnt ducked ANYONE and has come out on top.

I think the rematch with mosley would be better should it happen AFTER the mayweather fight. its only fair. then mayweather can go rematch gatti or hatton or whatever the hell he wants to do to baby that undefeated record and baby those titles/p4p status.

This fight between mayweather and cotto HAS TO happen...

This is bull!!! This is not what we need. Cotto beat Mosely convincingly... If anything Mosely should fight the loser of Cotto/Margo and Floyd should fight the winner. This is bad. It was already bad that was Floyd underminding Cotto, but with Golden Boy pushing for this fight before the PBF fight... this is horrible

I understand why Oscar/PBF 2 is happening MONEY but GBP trying to sell us a Cotto/Mosley 2 doesnt make business/Financial sense to both fighters, I would be one of those who would critise Cotto if he end up beating a then 37/38 year old Mosley because that would do nothing for his legacy.

After Cotto/Margarito and oscar/PBF the PBF/Cotto fight would be at a high level demand and i doubt either fighter could do anything more to make it that higher at that point so if Cotto and PBF wins their next fight they both need to cash in by fighting each other.

This is bull****, in my opinion I saw Cotto winning very comfortable. Even Mosely knew he had lost and if it wasn't for the cotto haters thinking cotto lost( the same people that kept saying he would have a tough time with Gomez, even maybe loose) there wouldn't even be any of these talks. Now GBP is giving even more excuses to Mayweather that he can use.
