Will de la hoya be ridiculed for fighting steve forbes, calzaghe fighting manfredo (or lacy fighting manfredo), forrest fighting mora, etc.? All fighters have tune up fights and the nice thing about the contenders is they are tune ups with exposure.

Why fight Mosley again? What does beating Mosley again prove that the first fight didn't?

You have to understand that these guys have to train and prepare for these fights and it's hard to get up for a fight with a guy you beat clearly the first time. It's about as pointless a rematch as say, I dunno, Mayweather-DLH 2.

Mosley is just a name now, he has no title and isn't taking steps to advance in the rankings. He is inactive, aging and the reward doesn't justify the amount of time expended making the whole event worthwhile.

If Cotto beats Margarito, there is no reason why a Mayweather-De la Hoya rematch needs to take place before Cotto-Mayweather. None, whatsoever.

There's no need for a rematch. Cotto clearly was the better fighter that night and I think Cotto would beat Mosley more convincingly in a rematch.

Have Mosley fight the winner of Quintana vs Williams. I mean, did we all of a sudden forget Shane was supposed to fight Zab " Underachiever" Judah a few days ago? GBP indeed are tryin to get Oscar and Shane the biggest paydays possible before they exit.

There's only 1 guy for Cotto if he beats Margarito and that's Mayweather, bottom line!

with mosley again? what for? just another old fighter again..should he win he should try and unify titile,quintana/williams winner or clottey/judah...why fight mosley again? that would be taking a step back,he needs to fight champions, and here is his first one in margarito,if he wins, keep going in that direction, forward, not back

Why are people so preoccupied with Cotto-Gomez still? Nobody can sit here and tell me that there was someone in the division Cotto avoided to take this fight with Gomez. It was clearly an infomercial for Cotto-Margarito, putting two guys in winnable fights to showcase their abilities in order to build hype for a PPV showdown.

Similar to Pacquiao-Velasquez/Morales-Raheem twin bill and De La Hoya-Sturm/Hopkins-Allen III.

Why weren't people throwing their arms in the air over these super stars taking such simple competition? Because it led to big fights.

What the **** does Golden Boy's opinion matter anyway? neither fighter is signed to that company, it's Arum's and Floyd's call before any fight goes down. who the **** cares what Golden Boy thinks SHOULD happen, they can keep their opinions to themselves.. Cotto beats Margarito and that should be enough to fight Floyd, if Cotto beats Margarito then that will be TWO people who at 1 time were considered MAJOR threats to Floyd and before Floyd could man up here comes Cotto and beats them, currently I can say Mosley but now if he beats Margarito he will have eliminated TWO of the biggest threats to Floyd. Floyd is just sitting back and letting Cotto clean out the division, hoping and wishing that someone along the lines of those fights gets lucky and he can continue to duck a real fight.

Cotto will beat Floyd and while Floyd continues to taint his title run at WW Cotto is going to keep it coming, Floyd can only hold the belt hostage for only so long, he will eventually be faced against prime cut and TRUE opposition and it wont be in the form of littkle ass, 1 dimensional Ricky Hatton. Floyd values his win over Ricky Hatton as a great win, he glorifies a sub par win instead of actually going for a TRUE GREAT win over the number 1 ranked Welterweight Miguel Cotto, he would rather build a false glorified image of Ricky Hatton's abilities, play with peoples minds into believeing that he's actually facing good competition and runs with it only to run back and fight that washed up Golden dude again all the while Cotto takes the back seat, he's reaping in the kind of glory that only a win over Miguel Cotto can give him, his whole reign right now is tainted and he is no longer the best pound for pound fighter in the world, period.
