Beatin Marg makes him the real WW champ, but not a HOF fighter just yet. He's just gettin into his prime. He's gotta sustain success in big fights for a few more years before he becomes a HOF guy. He takes a big step toward that if he can win over Marg but that on top of his other accomplishments don't quite make him an ATG imo. He's on his way tho.

Some of what you say makes sense but you seem a bit biased. Your first few points are dead on but I don't think Oscar beats Cotto nor Margarito. Hell no. These guys actually punch with mean intentions - if Floyd did that even a couple more times in that fight, Oscar would've been sleeping. And that's something I wouldn't have thought prior to the fight (not without a long, extended beatdown).

Couple this with Oscar's stamina issues and I find it very difficult to believe he can defeat a Puerto Rican who would love nothing more than to one-up Tito, take hold of his country forever and make himself a mega-star in the process by defeating Oscar. And I don't think he stops a hungry-ass Mexican, a former sparring partner who - in true Mexican fashion - would fight twelve hard rounds against a guy who can manage eight, tops. No way.

And finally, this idea that Cotto is overrated because he couldn't hurt Shane is absolutely, ****ing ridiculous. Shane Mosley has one of the best chins in the game, you better ask somebody. Please note that Vernon Forrest is the ONLY dude who truly hurt Shane in his career and he STILL managed to get up and go twelve full rounds after that near disaster! Are you kidding me? Talk about horrible examples. This is a guy who leaped from lightweight to welter and took a prime Oscar's shots like they were breakfast. And moved up to 154 to boot! Think for a second.

Hold up hold up is you serious? yo my man let me tell you something about all those guys you was talking about, Paulie was UNDEFEATED and then he went on to become world champion, he wast THAT good of a "feather fisted" fighter as you called him. Ricardo Torres was also UNDEFEATED with 26 KO's of 28 fights ALL while Cotto KILLED himself to make weight for those bouts, he didn't look half as good as he does now and all that "he got better" **** could take a backside seat cuz on the real he was always how he is now it's just he's healthier in fights, he doesn't have to kill himself to make weight no more so he is more nourished and can compete to his full potential, potential which was ALREADY there..

ima keep it simple here.. Zab been laid off for a year before and still did good, when he beat Omar Weis he came back a year later and defeated DeMarcus Corley. also he wasn't even laid off for a year he fought Ruben Galvan just 2 months before the Cotto fight, people say that about Zab to discredit Cotto when in truth in ANY time Cotto would have defeated Judah. Bronco? well he's a lot better than your favorite fighters tune ups. Urkal? same **** another GOOD solid opponent as an in between fights.. yea while Margarito is fighting golden ****s Cotto is knocking The Contender poster boy with his jabs. Pinto was a good, UNDEFEATED prospect whom holds a win over Cotto in the ametuer's and Cotto sought to redeem that, a hard opponent was Pinto ***** don't forget it. Mosley will ALWAYS be a threat, he is something like Bernard in that department, his training camp is ridiculous and he is ALWAYS in shape, nobody is just going to beat a focused Mosley and when Cotto fought him Mosley threw EVERYTHING he had at this point in time in his Boxing Career and Cotto defeated him..

bottomline you CAN'T say Cotto cherry picked his opponents because whoever he fought that wasn't a past or present world champion either was undefeated and eventually became world champions or were solid and strong competitors who just couldn't quite make it and maybe have fought for titles at one point.. Cotto ain't no chump, and the way you making him smell to people on here is like he's still suspect and if thats the case pimpin' Boxing ain't for you. Cotto will eventually become better and bigger but as of right NOW he has done enough to at least get respect on NOT cherry picking his fights, on not fighting the champions of OTHER weights and fighting good, solid opponents at HIS weight class where HE is champion and not prolong his reign as champion all while fighting an over the hill name and a one dimensional fighter with only enough skills to over power you and nothing more, a fighter with only 1 resort.. you KNOW who I'm talking about here.. and Cotto AIN'T that he fights REAL fights. in less than 2 years he's managed to have fights against everybody Mayweather Jr decided to look away from and without Margarito whom is still pending he has beaten them all, hand picking my ass homie get ya Boxing game up..
