Yeah I did.We went to his hotel and chilled but didnt get to go to his room because he was already packing to go to dallas for the PC. But I got pics, autographs, met him, and he was cool as ****. Thats why I like him so much, because of how nice he was. And DLH was an *******.

And I still think Cotto was in the development phase.

Hatton made it clear after Tszyu that Mayweather was the ultimate goal.

Cotto is good but his rsume is no where near hall of fame YET

If Cotto beat Margarito in July and retired the day after the fight he wouldn't be a hall of fame fighter. Well, maybe he would because their standards are strange, but he wouldn't be in there in a perfect world.

Cotto still has quite a distance to go before the boxing public will resoundingly call him great....or hall worthy. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet though so he should provide us with many great, great moments over the next 5/6/7 years.

Whether you like him or not, dude has done very well so far and has shown steady growth throughout his career. He has beaten high profile names, tough undefeated prospects, and everything in between.

If Cotto beats DLH, Forrest, and Mayweather then it's possible.
Is this guy serious? You think the Cotto fan threads are crazy now...he'd be hailed as the best PR fighter ever and would get asinine amounts of praise on boxing boards.

            Surprise, surprise.
            Another Cotto-is-GOD-thread.

Where do you rank Mosley on a HOF 147 pound career?
            Exactly.

Mosley, an old, ******-headed version of Mosley, gave Cotto all he could handle, and arguably drew with him.
            A prime Cotto at that.

Cotto's claim to fame is beating people that wouldn't stand even a 10% chance of finishing a fight with any of the true 147 HOF'ers.

            Good fighter? Yes.
            Great fighter? haha bloody ha.
As if Mayweather is going to pose THAT much of a threat to Cotto. Mayweather has no power and a great defense thats why he maintains his current self proclaimed status. As far as boxing skills you guys overrate him so much. Boxing is about echanging blows and evading your oppositons at the same tme keeping distance when needed and coming in when you have too. mayweather sits back takes shots and runs with an occassional pot shot thrown in. he never wins the good exchanges De La Hoya made him look bad sometimes and hatton made him look weak by out muscling him. Cotto has a little bit of everything and can **** with anybody at the WW division.

Mayweather Poses no real threat. I gaurantee Mayweather has no chance of really Hurting him or knocking him out. Did you see De La Hoyas face after the Forbes fight in comparison to the Mayweather fight ??

He was exposed in both the De La Hoya and Hatton fight thats why people now doubt him. If he destroyed Hatton and DLH than people wouldnt give Cotto the time of day with saying he could step in the ring with Mayweather.

It'd be close. The way he would have run through the division in two years time. A guy moving up in weight no less. His run at 140 was very solid too. I think if he beats Tony and looks good against Floyd then he's in for sure. He just has to be competitive.

I always thought that the he beat him so he would beat him argument was a bit far fetched. Sometimes styles make fights, so it's not that easy to make those assumptions. He has a win over Mosley and possibly Marg. Two wins doesn't clean out a division.

It's not Cotto's fault that Mayweather is ducking him.

I disagree, not yet if he beats Margarito he needs atleast 2-3 other big names
