Locket showed some handspeed but.. Tsurenko was horrible. I don't think I saw more than 2 combinations thrown by Tsurenko.. He did not look like a fighter who came to win. I would have bet against Locket in fights with any of last guys Pavlik beat. Zuniga, Mckart, Zertuche, Miranda all would likely stop Locket. With that said you never know with how Pavlik is prone to getting hit but the rocket man looked pretty lame.

Pros: Quite fast hands, apparently decent power, never been stopped

Cons: Too square, too static, too easy to hit, looks physically weak.

IMO Pavlik will bully him around the ring very easily and hit him at will with the jab. Based on this I'd say kelly will KO him early, unless Lockett has improved a lot.

This fight is 4 years old and at 154 lbs, so I dont know how much to gauge from this fight. My thoughts however is that Lockett is a classic eurostyle fighter who fights off the jab. The jab is a little lazy at times something he cannot afford against Pavlick. Lockett seems to have a good powerfull hook. Defense wise I think he is (was?) to easy to hit with the jab and he could be a sucker for Pavlicks right as we saw Lockett eat one from the russian flush.

In this fight we saw Lockett move forward all the time. If thats what's best for him that would mean trouble against Pavlik 'cause if you shall defeat Pavlik you need some nasty counters in your arsenal, coming of your back foot.

But if Lockett has improved since this fight as Mundine has since the Sven 'Slugger' Ottke KO he has a shot a Pavlik lol.

Judging solely from this fight I'd say my bet with _ricky_ is safe as Lockett looks like walking knock-out.
