I hope he doesn't yet, he has alot of potential. I would hate to see him pushed too fast. Where did you hear this?

He is in "talks" with promoters, totally different to turning pro, could be some kind of retainer deal to aid his training facilities and general training in return for securing first offer when he does turn pro, cant see him doing this for at least 2 years, tho whether he stays amatuer til 2008 is open to some doubt and conjecture.

I think 4 years is a long time to wait, 2 years sounds about right. I hadn't heard anything so i was just wondering, now is definatly too early but i can believe that there will be alot of promoters wanting him in their camps.

i just hope that if he does turn pro then its for the right reasons, not for the money, i wouldnt want to see a talent ruined if he jumped in to early, all to line promoters pockets

apparently the amature assosication body organisation (or one of them) have said they can fund him 40,000 a year

he is only young, i hope the big money fo the professional circuit doesnt tempt him from the amature world of boxing for at least another 2 years, i think you can safely right off the next olympics though

17 does sem tender age to be boxing at pro level, look at kevin mitchell he is only 19 and they wont match him with anyone dangerous, so he gfets slated in the boxing press for fighting stiffs but at 19 what else is there to do.

Move him up too early and he coudl end up like David Walker, a shot fighter by your mid 20's too slow you get slated.

                  its catch 22.

He should stay amatuer til he is at least 19.

                  fingers crossed.
