Thompson is a good fighter and probably one of the hardest opponents for Wlad right now.

As for the poster who said that Wlad was unimpressive in his last two wins, well he beat the **** and made quit the guy who who everyone considered to have the biggest heart in boxing and then one 11 our of 12 rounds against another champ and a master boxer at that.

I can't wait to see Thompson get KO'd by Wlad.

Another American heavyweight bites the dust.

This one has a massive potential to be an upset.

Wlad has looked unimpressive in his last two bouts.
He's become tentative and cautious. Happy to coast.

If the judging is fair, I pick Thompson by split or majority decision.
Sounds like a great matchup. I'm hoping for a short lived brawl that punctuated by a KO that leaves no questions about the real winner. Wlad needs to step up and start taking a few chances, if he wants to be a crowd pleaser and continue to draw large crowds and keep his fan base. Thompson is no joke, and if this is a dramatic fight, it'll go a long way toward cementing his place as undisputed champ.

            Last 5 fights:

            Won 5.

Won 4 by KO or TKO.

            Won 1 by embarrasing UD.

I would say that he takes enough of a chance to please crowds. Asking for more, is like asking Tyson to acually kill someone in an alley.

              Thanks for the laugh.

So your not impressed with Wlad's last 2 fights?.....Wlad dominated Brewster and made him quit in 6 rounds....Wlad dominated Ibragimov and won a virtual shutout.

Thompson has no chance, he's gonna get knocked the **** out by Wlad.

Thankyou....Wlad has 50 wins and 44 KO's, he knocks out 90% of his opponents, that's pretty damn impressive....Wlad will get his 45th KO win when he knocks out Thompson on July 12.

I'm not saying they weren't decisive victories, but you have to remember that not every "fan" of boxing is an actual fan of the sport. Many younger people and newcomers watch boxing to see explosive KO's, dramatic combacks, etc. and while having a few boring fights in a row where you so completely outclass your opponent is great for the real fan that can appreciate it, one begins to wonder, after awhile, why, if you're so much better than they are (and he is, everyone knows it), why you don't take a bit of a chance and try to land a punch or combination that will get them outta there, instead of taking it 12 for no reason other than that you were reluctant to accept any risks at all.

I like Wlad, have since I first saw him fight (oddly enough, it was the Sanders fight), and I know his potential....look at some of the posts I made about the kid a few years ago, when EVERYBODY else thought he was going to slide into obscurity. But the kid's gotta step up and knock some home runs.

No way that thing was written by Tony, unless I am underselling how educated he is.
