I like Wlad, have since I first saw him fight (oddly enough, it was the Sanders fight), and I know his potential....look at some of the posts I made about the kid a few years ago, when EVERYBODY else thought he was going to slide into obscurity. But the kid's gotta step up and knock some home runs.
Well, I will level with ya. I like a good earth shattering KO as much or more than the next guy, but. I really did not enjoy the fight with Ray Austin. He did exactly like everyone asked of him and went in and handled Austin with some very fast left hooks that had good-nite written all over them. The fans boo'd him after that fight because they felt like they did'nt get their money's worth. I prefer watching a technical fight like the one between Wlad and Sultan over the one and done fights like the Austin fight anyday and I think the common watcher would as well. I failed to mention that Ibragimov has a style that really conflicted with Wlads style of offense. They were stepping on each others feet the entire fight and Sultan was really reluctant to open up himself in fear of getting caught. Toward the end of the fight, Wladimir tried to end it while knocking Sultan down* and hurting him a little. He should get some credit for trying to put an explamation point on the fight at any rate. There is no shame in learning from the mistake in the first fight with Brewster that wound up costing him when he got exhausted trying to finish Lamon.

*note: Sultan would have gone down if the ropes had not held him up. I am sure that you know that when that happens, it is ruled a knockdown. No doubt that he was going down from the viewes at home.

Yea, I think he has a degree of some sort. And, by the article. He shows that he is not just a dumb jock.

But i am sorry Wladimir will beat Tony and i will be there at Hamburg.
probebly. Hes a good fighter, but nothing special. It would be somethin else if Tony actually won though, haha.
I think Tony would easily defeat every other champ besides Klitschko. I want Tony to be a champ so i hope he gets another shot even if he if Ko'ed by Wlad. He has proven he will fight anyone anywhere... you can count the heavyweights with that mindset on 1 hand.
I feel that he would beat Chagaev and Peter too. Chagaev isnt all that people make him out to be, all he really has is that win over Valuev, and Valuev has already gotten beaten by Larry Donald and John Ruiz.

I actually hope that after Thompson loses, if he does, which he will, but only maybe, I hope that he fights someone like Dimitrenko. I really think that would be an entertaining fight, with two big guys. You dont see exciting fights at heavyweight nowadays, so I would love that one.

RIZIO- It wasn't ridiculously long, it was a first class insight in to the mind of a top boxer, and therefore rather unusual and interesting to read. It shows that Tony Thompson is a thinking man, and also a man with very nice, sharp, sincere tendencies. This is the first time I've seen anything on him and would like to see more.

Yea! I love the USA! But Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! No way he beats Klitschko. Not in a million years. I will be shocked if the fight goes the distance though. I honestly dont think Thompson will make it out without getting Ko'd.
