Only 5 is very hard to do...IMO...
Sugar Ray Robinson - Do I really need to explain this?
Jack Johnson - Revolutionized the heavyweight devision with something called speed. Besides, the man would walk down the street with a white lady under each arm during a time he could have been lynched in public for it. That was a bad man!
Jack Dempsey - Brought the pure brutality of the sport to the mainstream with his gladiator mentality and undersized one punch KO ability.
Clay/Ali - Took psychological warfare and showmanship to another level. Even people that hated him would admit he was one of the greatest of all time. Looking back, it is hard to dispute.
Ray Leonard - 76' Gold Medalist with no intentions of being a pro boxer, but I'm glad he did. Dazzling speed, 60 punch flurries, a heart the size of a continent. Ray fought a who's who of Hall of Fame boxers. I wasn't a huge fan because I liked Hagler. It is what it is though.
My mind is filled with names that could be on here like Henry Armstrong, Archie Moore, JC Chavez, RJj, etc,. I think a good question know is are there any all time greats on the way up. Too many weights and titles make it very hard to distinguish between a great fighter and an all time great fighter right now.Comment
