1. Henry Cooper: Never lost a fight in his entire career inside the ring although it was falsely reported that Cassius Clay (Ali) beat him once. It did not happen. Henry dropped the American pretender with his famous “hammer” in the first round then went for a pint and a splash of Brut.
2. Michael Sprott: Although Sprott has losses recorded on his record they are all contentious due to him fighting in the fatherland where everyone knows that to get a draw let alone a win you have to knock the German out. Preferably cold as the Krauts love a long count as much as a sausage dipped in scat. Sprott’s best fight was the barnstormer against fellow ATG Matt Skelton where every round was packed with excitement. Contender for fight of the centaury I’m sure you will agree.
3. Baz Carery: Will be remembered as one of the greatest boxers of all time in years to come. Still active now and looking to make 250 fights before retirement. Famously defeated Amir Khan even though he had two broken hands and Khan had paid off the ref. Didn’t stop our Baz from winning yet again.
4. Bernard Hopkins: Never let it be said that Bernard Hopkins does not provide 100% excitement during all of his fights. The undefeated champion has held the titles from straw weight right through to heavy weight with his most recent win coming over Joe Calzaghe. The Brit buckled to the superior technique of the champion who could not deal with Hopkins special punch known as the “head butt”. Hopkins is well known for his humble and respectful demeanour in and out of the ring. What a guy.
5. Samuel Peter: Known as the “blob” the Nigerian diabetic has all the silky boxing skills that any fighter could wish for. Peter has a strict diet and training regime implemented for him by world renowned nutrition expert Ronald McDonald. The blob’s next fight is against potential ATG Audley Harrison the ferocious puncher with the jaw made for granite. Should be a candidate for fight of the year?
I'm sure you will agree with me on my top five. Please let me know yours
