I thought Espadas won the first fight as well, Morales did knock him out in 3 in the rematch though.

I thought Erik won a close fight. The 116-112 cards were off...that's why a lot of people were so upset.

Boxing fans weren't used to seeing Erik fight like that...weren't expecting a guy like Guty to press him. It was a close fight, but I thought Erik pulled it out.

I was at that fight, I don't think Espadas won it but it was a close, Morales didn't look too good in that fight. He was comming off the war with Barrera and his conditioning wasn't great, he faded especially in the 12 he took a big bomb and almost went down. Floyd was at the fight so was Judah and a few other fighters.

I thought Espadas deserved a better fate in the 1st fight, but like everyone says, he got dealt wit the 2nd time so it don't count for much.

i think it counts for what it was. on that day, at that time, he took one of the worlds prime p4p fighters to school, gave him a stiff ass kicking and took his WBC belt. that would be pretty significant to anyone who tought of themself as a world class professional fighter.....

Injin Chi also gave Morales problems.

Yea they took the victory from Guty, that was the first fight i saw of his.
What stood out the most about it was Guty didn't complain like a little *****. He took the loss like a man and pretty much said he must have not done enough to win. Im glad to see him back in the championship picture, according to boxrec the last fight he had (yesterday) was a WBC featherweight eliminator.
