Well us Brits should care we seem to cop a large a amount of abuse for it!

He does look silly granted, and I'm sure straight punches would be faster and that as he was 1/2 fights left he should say "**** my hand" and then show his latent power.
At least he's still winning.... for now.

The only people who care at the people who dont like him. He's undefeated, he's a champion at two different levels, he's one of the top P4P fighters in the world and its even starting to be the case that they cant hugely criticise him for not having faced top fighters/not having left his country now, so all they can find is the fact that he has an unorthodox style.

You're right, that's all we have until RJJ outclasses him and makes him look as amateurish as he has ever looked.

              RJJ > Hopkins > Kessler > Lacy

If the Slapping invalid manages to beat RJJ convincingly I will give him his due credit and let it be. Some may strike back with the "RJJ is old" comments but not me. At least not if it isn't a close controversial fight.

It kind of bothers me, I prefer knuckle part punches.

Deriding Calzaghe for slapping is so childish it is not even worthy of attention from anyone who is a serious fan of boxing. You don't hear HBO commentators saying "Oh my God, Calzaghe is rubbish, look at his SLAPS!" do you? Its just silly internet bull****. Calzaghe is a more effective puncher than a great many fighters out there today, Paul Williams being the example that immediately springs to my mind.

Co-sign. I ain't a big Joe C fan but I respect him as a fighter. As long as he keeps winnin he ain't gonna change his style just cuz fans don't like it.
