Floyd had more worthy opponents at 147 when he chose to fight DLH.

        Like who? Margarito, anyone else?

You're saying he should have passed up on a fight with the biggest star in the sport to fight Margarito in 07?

People complaining about either Floyd or Pac fighting De la hoya are completely ridiculous.

No, it was primarily because Oscar called him out.
There'd have been no fight otherwise.

          And that's not the point.
The boxing fans wanted Mayweather-Cotto. Badly.
Nevertheless, dela Hoya was a fair challenge to take,
and I don't really take Floyd's choice against him.

Who exactly did the boxing public want Pac to face,
          when Pac accepted Oscar's challenge?

I see this explanation for every pac fight. The fans say the same thing now when hes fighting jmm, that pac is only fighting him because he called him out.

Martinez has been calling pac out for a while now. Mosley called him out before Cotto.

The obvious answer is that the "calling out" is completely irrelevant.
Pac goes for the fights that makes sense economically. It has nothing to do with him being called out.

Floyd could have fought Marg or Cotto but chose DLH. Pac has gone on to fight both the guys Floyd ducked so it's not the same thing.

You think the public preferred to see him fight Marquez a third time rather than jump up and fight DLH? Must be some good **** you're smoking.

Pacquiao has a captivating style while Mayweather has a captivating personality.
