Who do you think preformed better against Joe Calz?

I'm not trying to denigrate Hopkins, but in my honest opinion, he made the entire fight look like ****. He grabbed constantly, billy goated throughout the fight (why this wasn't called I dunno, there were at least 2 or 3 blatantly intentional head butts), his work rate was nearly non-existant at points, and he resorted to being a crybaby later to take a breather. On the other hand, he showed how cagey an old guy can be, and he proved that he still has a beautiful straight right counter that's as fast as it ever was.
Kessler's performance, for the first part of the fight, was hands down better than Hopkins' throughout, and if Calzaghe weren't so great at adjusting, it would've been a fairly close decision. Even so, it wasn't necessarily uncompetitive, it just showed Kessler's youth and relative inexperience and lesser ring smarts in comparison to Calzaghe.
I think in a rematch, I believe Hopkins would lose by a far greater margin, and Kessler would stand a good chance of a draw, maybe even a close decision that everybody disputed.Comment

Yup, credit to Hops, he knew what weapons of his would make it competitive, and they did. Neither mixed it up against Calzaghe and stuck to the same thing, but Hops did much better with his tactics than Kessler.Comment

Kessler put on a better overall performance, winning more rounds than Hopkins did, and winning those more cleanly. He did however lose some rounds by a wider margin and let Calzaghe have his way in the middle part of the fight.
The scores are close: 117-110 against Hopkins and 117-111 against Kessler.
Hopkins obviously did a better job of neutralizing Joe's offense, but Kessler landed the better blows (than Hopkins did)
Edit: In both cases there was no doubt Joe won after about round 5 or 6Comment

mostly, i saw biatch-hop just retreating until he ran out of room, when he was trapped he would lung at jc, wrap his left arm around jc's right side, grab a hang on until the ref broke them apart......Comment

Kessler had success early in the fight but then got pretty much dominated. Hopkins frustrated Calzaghe throughout and people could argue he won. So Hopkins.Comment
