David Haye has been hailed as the saviour of the ailing heavyweight division with the skills and charisma of Muhammad Ali.
Golden Boy Promotions have agreed exclusive rights to promote Haye in the United States and their influential chief executive Richard Schaefer believes they have captured a superstar in the making.
Haye will open his assault on the division later this year, with his first opponent likely to be Hasim Rahman, and plans to meet heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko next summer.
Schaefer said: "We think the heavyweight division was in dire need of a face. The heavyweights are the glorious division of the sport.
"What David brings is not just excitement and skills in the ring but the charisma and excitement outside of it in the same way the great Muhammad Ali once did.
"We believe that David Haye will be the face of the sport in the heavyweights.
"We at Golden Boy Promotions were waiting to make our foray into the division because we felt there was no-one who could capture the imagination of the public.
"We were waiting for that person but now we have him in David Haye, who has made a firm commitment to the division.
"And he's done it in typical Haye style by declaring he will fight two top-10 ranked heavyweights from the start - and then take on Klitschko."
All four of Haye's next fights will be staged at the O2 Arena and screened on Setanta Sports after the 27-year-old agreed a lucrative deal with the broadcaster.
A sensational demolition of Pole Tomasz Bonin in one minute 45 seconds is Haye's only previous foray into the heavyweights and his trainer Adam Booth predicts more fireworks on his return.
But he will not be beefing up in preparation for his campaign against the big men.
"David will make an assault on the heavyweight division and that's exactly what it will be, because it will be fast," he said.
"We'll build him into a fast, lean heavyweight and get those world heavyweight titles."
British light-middleweight champion Ryan Rhodes has signed up for Hayemaker Boxing, alongside amateur stars Michael Maquire and Leon Williams.
"We are putting promoters on notice that there is a new promotional entity and new ideal that's here for the fighters and only for the fighters," said Booth.
