I think it was it was De La Hoya the businessmen who was in the ring that fight, not De La Hoya the fighter ... Like it had been said Hopkins was walking him down and De La Hoya knew if he stayed in the fight he'd lose value at the box office so to speak. I think he could of gotten up, that fight was kinda the death of the old De La Hoya and the new C.E.O. Of Golden Boy.
