but i ****in hate that white announcer guy. I dont really like any of the announcers to be honest. they all seem to be sucking up to somebody, and never tell it like it is. Always hyping up the job.

I mean idk their names, but that eye-poke fight tonight... that was a decent fight, some good action, but on its way to being an instant classic? c'mon now... nobody is gonna buy that
I agree. They do overrate their fighters. They even mentioned Bigfoot Silva and Fedor in the same breath at one point.

Elite XC (at least without counting the other feds ProElite owns as well) has a single-digit total of guys who are Top 10 in their weight division globally...

the Le/Shamrock fight was awesome, but all stand up because Frank vowed to fight Le standing up which was a ****** move. There are some rumors about that fight circulating that the fight was fixed for Le/Shamrock II could be bigger and a signiture Elite XC classic.

Good. Elite XC and Gary Shaw doesnt deserve anything more.

        Will it die out?

The sport or the federation? I guess Pro Elite lost 30 million plus last year, but it's an investment - they now own a number of other non-UFC federations, they have 2 plus years left on the Showtime deal, they have mainstream attention, MMA is rising in exposure to the casual sports fan/TV watcher...

So if it does, it won't be immediately, or if it goes immediately, something else will take its place.

If CBS had shown the Affliction card coming up July 19 on PPV instead, it would likely have been "better for the sport", but I don't think that's Gary Shaw's or CBS's goal anyway...
