Who says Floyd want fight Cotto in 2009 when its bigger and better?? Why fight Cotto now when u can make millions off of Oscar now before he's gon?? Before match with Hatton people said Floyd was scared and he ducked Hatton at 140, and look now that its happened the same people that said Floyd was scared he eventually ended up fighting Hatton when the match was at its peak.

Lets translate this to the guy in simpler terms.

Lets say you have two cartons of Milk in your fridge. One's date is about to expire and turn sour and the other still has a two weeks left. Which one do you drink first? Obviously you're gonna drink up the older one because the fresh one still has alot of time left.

Same for Delahoya and Cotto. Delahoya is the old carton of milk that is about to expire...so why not fight him and collect a nice payday and then go after the fresh carton in Cotto who still has years left before his expiration date.

Comparing Lamotta's situation to Mayweather's is moronic. In one fight Floyd could make enough money to have him set for life. He would actually have to be somewhat smart with it though which obviously he's not. And by somewhat smart I mean smart enough to not spend 5 million on ***lery. The early part of Lamotta's life was spent in the depression era...and as you said made 750k total over his career. More money for Lamotta means better living for him and his family. More money for Mayweather means more expensive clothes and more **** for him to throw around.

When you have the money Floyd has already, you don't need to live on a budget. It's just "Hey don't spend 5 million a year." So that is kind of a moot point. We don't know Lamotta either so we can't that for sure.
