  • Jake Lamotta's thought on Floyd Mayweather

I recently asked LaMotta what he thought of Mayweather. (Robinson died in 1989.) He said: “I fought 13 years, 106 fights, and I made $750,000, total. Fighting all the time keeps you strong, makes you able to take a shot better, but I would have fought less if I made more money.” He added that he would have wrestled, danced, whatever, if anybody had asked him to and paid him for it......

no one is saying floyd shouldn't do that, but if Jake Lamotta were to be asked, "Would you have danced, wrestled, whatever and NOT fought the toughest competition?" do you honestly think his answered would have been yes? honestly..

Didn't he answer your question subliminally? He was forced into the tough fights because he was in a tough era not because he was a proud warrior willing to fight anywhere, anytime because the fans were gonna love him for it.

            Money Talks.

are you trying to defend the fact that your a fan of a coward?? i can understand if a fighter wants to make the most money he can but i dont understand why anyone would be a fan. mayweather dont fight the best and dont give the fans excitement. he dont deserve any fans.

Yeah, LaMotta had to take some of the tougher fights.

I read something where LaMotta said he felt he deserved more credit for fighting some of the Black Murderers Row like Bert Lytell, Holman Williams, and Lloyd Marshall whom many other fighters would not fight.

He would do both, which Floyd has and will do. To think otherwise is foolish or childish. Take your pick.

Who says Floyd want fight Cotto in 2009 when its bigger and better?? Why fight Cotto now when u can make millions off of Oscar now before he's gon?? Before match with Hatton people said Floyd was scared and he ducked Hatton at 140, and look now that its happened the same people that said Floyd was scared he eventually ended up fighting Hatton when the match was at its peak.
