the only reason this **** is happening is because the casual public sees MMA more exciting than Boxing. period, point, blank. in Boxing, the big stars and promoters will talk a big game and then not do **** in the ring. in MMA, the promoters hype mediocre talent and set the expectation of what the crowd is going to get and it meets or exceed.

im not saying boxing needs to throw out all aspects of mastery and technical ability, but the problem is that the right fights arent being made because of ego's and $$. and fans like the ones on this forum who keep supporting and justifying a fighter who does everything but provide entertainment a long with quality DURING are the same that kill Boxing as a mainstream sport. then they want to turn around and say what their favorite fighter is doing is actually helping the sport.

Last year Alone Boxing broke it's previous P.P.V record
and The world boxing scene is the hottest it's ever been with fighters like David Haye and Kahn...and boxing is always going to go through it's cycles of up and downs and right now boxing is up in my opinon....

We just need better promotion and more free fights with meaning..

Well, so far tonight, she's "The Face of EliteXC" based on that display of top-tier skills. Young isn't exactly a slouch either.

The best fight of the card was the women. However, the fights looking like tough-man contest is intentional. EliteXC purposely put standup fighters/brawlers in this entire card to attract mainstream audiences who wouldn't necessarily understand the subtlties of Ju-Jitsu.

With that said I would've definitley ordered Shane vs Judah and just tivoed this card. Its a shame we dont get top boxers on primetime, network TV anymore.
