i would say he hit harder after prison because he was always going for the big punch/KO. he was however a much better puncher before prison as he was faster and never relied on just one punch.

Before, without a doubt. A good deal of his power came from handspeed, and he was clearly slower after prison. He probably went for fast KO's more which may give the perception that he punched harder because he was loading up on his punches more. The truth is that he just didn't want to go into the later rounds if at all possible.

One shot power? IMO after prison.Check out his post prison fights,at least upto the second Holyfield fight.I don't think there was that much loss in hand speed,though his feet were slightly slower

On the other hand, compared to pre-prison he threw a smaller repertoire of punches,they weren't quite as well timed and he had lost much of his incredible combinational abilities.
