Before, without a doubt. A good deal of his power came from handspeed, and he was clearly slower after prison. He probably went for fast KO's more which may give the perception that he punched harder because he was loading up on his punches more. The truth is that he just didn't want to go into the later rounds if at all possible.

I'd say before prison, with that weight lifting he did in prison and after prison it made his hand speed slower due to more muscle.

weight lifting makes you stronger so you should hit harder.

Probably before, which makes me wonder how much slower Haye will be at HW and how his power will be affected as well.

If that were the case, 270 lb Shannon Briggs would hit like a Mac truck.

Before, he was faster before prison and as I said in the other thread, Tyson relied on speed to generate most of his power.

Before no question. A prime Tyson was unstoppable.

It makes you stronger, but already being strong and faster with your hands is better. More impact.
