    I loved the article...

6 pages about Mayweather and quite a few of the paragraphs commenting on cementing his legacy, a proposed fight w/ Cotto, and things of that nature... and not one mention of Margarito.

And keep on posting that ****. It just fuels the greatness. I'm telling you, the **** was written by somebody that lost their wallet betting on Gatti. Or Judah.
It's funny. Mayweather makes the ****ing New York times. The dude writes some **** that is automatic MATH in some of your eye's.

The people that are MAD, are the folks that are in the Cotto vs Margarito threads, 24/7.
Who needs Ring, when you got the New York Times?
get his **** out of ur mouth.

1st off what I said is true, he's not this HUGE entertainer that everyone wants to bill him out to be. The people who want boxing back in the mainstream pump that.
2nd, I don't deny that he is P4P the best in the sport today. And I don't stick in Cotto/Margarito threads.
Lastly Gatti was a great warrior but stuck around too long and Judah is a stuttering prick that fights dirty.

I've seen all of Floyd's fights and I enjoy watching his fights. I don't stroke his **** like u and a lot of others though.

BTW at least Paulie was man enough to fight Cotto...

It said in the article that Floyd doesnt drink, so why would he be talking about daiquiris.

I see your having some problems with writing complete sentences and spelling. Maybe you have problems reading also or you probably would have read that NY Times article that says PBF freaked out when Cotto's name was mentioned. You would have also had to note that fat **** Elerbe defending everything he does.

Your guido rant didn't bother me that much since I'm only part Italian but it definately shows your ignorance. Your a typical ignorant Floyd boy who defends yourself with posts like that one when all else fails.
Say what you want about Paulie but I bet he didn't have hissy fits when Cotto's name was mentioned. He man'd up and fought him, even though he lost it was a courageous fight and noone can take that away from him. That's more than can be said for that attention whore Mayweather.
Inside the ring he is brilliant (P4P the best) but outside the ring I think he's got an overblown ego and a lack of brains.

Wether he is a household name or not? We are gonna have to wait and see when he fights someone who isn't as well known, then we will know depending on the numbers he does..
So you want Floyd to fight a nobody and for it to be on PPV????

Isn't that what fans would complain about?

Baldomir was as "nobody" as it gets. A guy nobody even heard about at the begining of 2006 and a guy who does 350,000 buys fighting Mayweather at the end of 2006.

Now if Floyd were to fight a unknown nobody, it's safe to say it would be a free HBO championship fight.

Sweet pea, I always liked you as a poster.. Your a funny doode, but don't get into this Italian guido **** man..

I'm Italian, and happen to be a fan of Paulie because he is a good boxer...
I agree somewhat with Mattup that Mayweather isn't the entertainer he really thinks he is IE De La Hoya, Baldomir ect..
His trash talk is usually better than his fights. Floyd isn't really what the public wants. You want an effective entertainer in their prime? See Roy Jones. Flashy, but he was DOMINANT..
Floyd does as little as possible to EEEkK out wins. He doesn't demolish his competition..

I don't know what you have against Italians tho.

                  1. Wasn't the criticism of Roy that he wasn't throwing too many punches as he moved up to light-heavy? Not that I agree, I think he was very entertaining.

                  2. Didn't he demolish Arturo Gatti like nobody did before? The Hatton Ko?

The only difference between JOnes and Mayweather is that Floyd is a professional every time he steps in that ring where as Roy likes to clown around. It didn't look so good when he started clowning against Tarver in the third fight even though he was losing.

That is why I didn't mention those fights b/c he actually performed well in them.. Well, the Hatton win wasn't as easy as people made it seem. He was stuggling in the beginning b/c hatton was mauling him everywhere..

He did dominate Gatti.. but that wasn't the point i was proving..

Roy still had good KO power at LT heavy.. He was entertaining and threw more than Mayweather does at Welter..

All I'm trying to say is; Floyd seems to be a little resentful towards the sport that made him millions. For a 31 year old P4P champion, he sure doesn't act like one. Retirement annoucements after every fight, not fighting top tier talent (as of late), and pulling bull**** publicity stunts.

Believe me I'm a fan of his in the ring like most people here and to an extent I enjoy the way he hypes up fights. BUT he is no rapper, he is no businessman, he is no entertainer and he is no wrestler. He's a very talented boxer who thinks he is bigger than the sport that made him.
