My opinion of Joe Calzaghe

Some of the critcisms you raise about Calzaghe in the Hopkins fight are valid, but does one average performance make you a bad fighter?

What do you think about Joe's one-sided dominations of Lacy and Kessler, his unbeaten record as a pro, his record breaking number of defences and length of reign, the fact that he is currently Ring champ at SMW AND LHW?

So by your analogy Kessler and Lacy, two SMW world champions are division 4, Calzaghe is division 2 and the boxers you think are elite are Premiership, and we could expect these 'elite' boxers to dominate Joe Calzaghe?

Please name your current selection of elite Premiership boxers who will dominate Joe Calzaghe should they fight.

With all due respect, Jeff Lacy is just not that good. Sorry dude. Call it hindsight, rant and rave about how many people thought he would win...he's just not that good. ****, a lot of the guys he KO'ed before Calzaghe were kicking his ass up until the KO. And how has he looked since? Exactly. Wait..Calzaghe ruined him, right?

Kessler was an excellent win. But let's not hype it up. He was a fellow champion, not a great fighter. Look at his resume...exactly.

You guys kill me. Calzaghe is a pound for pounder and will get into the Hall of Fame. But let's not act like he's an all-time great. He's not...AT ALL.

It's not to insinuate that joe is a total bum he's obviously not I'm just arguing that he does not belong to the elite. after watching him in the hopkins fight it was aparant that it wasn't a mediocre performance he was made to look mediocre because what came with bernard hopkins wasn't simply natural speed etc it was timing and superior movement properties of the elite that only can be harnessed fighting the elite calzaghe has not done this.
