I'm European and I think often times ppl are very overhyped here. It doesn't mean that we ain't got great fighters here. David Haye is exciting and he will get some easy HW opponents from Golden Boy. Everybody will believe he is the truth but as soon he fights against a real good HW it will be goodnight. David Haye is fast and has some pop but I don't believe it's enough for a HW. His defence will kill him, he's supposed to be a slick boxer, the way he defends. But he ain't got these slickness nor the refelexes of a Roy Jones. Against a Klitschko he would get badly beaten. Klitschko showed, that the new Klitschko fights carefully the whole 12 rounds, so if Haye wants to bring some action he has to open up and one or two right hands later it's over.
Like I said I think a lot of ppl in Europe get a little bit to excited about their fighters and they should but sometimes they can't see the truth anymore, ecspecially the Brits. I'm from Germany and we back our fighters also but nobody in Germany would believe or believed that Sven Ottke only because he was undefeated was the best or Henry Maske or Axel Schulz or whatever. We backed them up but the truth was clear. David Haye is exciting, brings colour that's ok but if he should beat a real good HW I would be very surprised. And even more if he would become HW Champion. There are some weak Champs, but Klitschko (no chance in Hell) Peter (no chance, sooner or later he would get caught) and Chagaev (is a very good boxer and has a good pop as well) would all beat him and even ko him. So he brings excitement and that's good. You brits should back him up but you still should be realistic!!! It's the same with Hatton and a Mayweather rematch. Some still think it was the Referee's fault that Hatton lost. Hatton is a great warrior and a lot of heart. But boxing is more. Mayweather would beat him every day. But I respect Hatton that he wants a rematch and wants to redeem himself. But it doesn't change the chances of him winning!
