I thought the Mormeck fight was 4 months before the Macca fight. Anyway, he was 217, 11 months prior for the Bonin fight. 17 pounds doesn't seem like much for a CW when you have guys like Pac and Guzman rehydrating that much from 130. Like you say though, time will tell.

He was training straight for 9 months prior to the Macca fight is what I meant. That includes training for the Mormeck fight.

Maybe he wasn't losing the weight the right way or something. Time will tell.

Just another glass chin...well at least we can expect great knockdowns everytime he fights whoever is in the receiving end LOL. Just like the knockdowns of wlad which is really entertaining, as if wlad is goona die everytime he kiss the canvass.

so does that mean that Cotto has a weak chin cause he attributes his knockdowns against Torres and being stung against Corley to being weight drained.

Haye is honest enough to admit that his legs 'went' against Mormeck, but says that was down to making 200lbs. I think he deserves the benift of the doubt.

He was stopped by Carl Thompson who, for those of you that dn't know was probably the hardest puncher in the Cruisers along with Ezra Sellers. And if you have sen that fight, he lost cause he gassed not because of his chin.

His stamina issues seem to have been sorted somewhat, the Fragomeni fight showed that he can fight at an intense level and score a win in the later rounds............ also it is plain to see that his conditionin has improved greatly, just look at how his physique has changed since the Thompson figt.

And the way Reeno is talking, i seriously doubt he has watch that many Haye fights cause to say that he only punches hard enought to get a HW's attention is a gross understatement!

I could be wrong, mine, like Reeno's, is an opinion.......... but lets not forget that Haye will hold significant speed advantages over most HWs. And everyone who seems to have shared a ring with him, in sparring or otherwise (See BJ Flores, Danny Williams etc) say that he has a real shot at the championship.

Time will tell....

I can't wait for Haye to fight at heavyweight. It's been a while since I've been excited about a heavyweight.

I think Wlad would cement his legacy if he destroys Haye (obviously if Haye demolishes all in his path), I'd rather Haye won but it'll be fun to watch.
