He doesn't need to be exposed, he was exposed long ago. He was KO'd in the first few seconds of the first round by the first punch he got from some absolute beginner.
I like Tye Fields, I mean he's a decent, modest fellow. But since I saw him against Tank Williams, words fail me (and that's not easy). I'd seen him in about his 6-7th fight, and it was all about rushing into combat, flailing arms (and legs) and a quick KO. His opponents remind me of Sam Peter's. This Williams fight was, I think the first one he had after taking Manny Steward as his trainer, and if anyone remembers, all he did the whole night, was to [very laboriously] slowly push out his left hand, and poor Tank, who looked like a fly on the end of a pin, could do nothing except wave his arms around a bit.
I saw one other fight after that, and it impressed itself on my mind so much that i can't recall who, what, or when it was. I just recall that Tye won without doing much. Not that he didn't try to, he just couldn't.
So it's not impossible, that unless Monte Barrett is COMPLETELY washed-up, that the first good punch he hits Tye with, will do the job. Or maybe in Tye's seclusion, he's actually learned something and will win. I'm not betting eitrher way, but if I HAD to, I'd reluctantly back Barrett. I hope I'm wrong, because, as I said, I like Tye Fields.
His modesty is certain, since he's managed to amass 40 wins by sneaking along the back-alleys of the sport, without anyone noticing, barely on the fringes of "boxing".
I think that this present "lion" PR is the result of a chance resemblance that his phote (with his fists near the camera) has to the SPHINX. you know...the two huge front paws with the head balanced in the middle.
However, he made a bad choice, since the lion is amongst the most cowardly of all major animals. Don't you all know that it's the lioness which does the hunting and most, if not all of the fighting??
I'm not saying that Tye is like that, and don't want to be misunderstood, just that he should have chosen a different animal.....like the elephant, for example........
