amateur boxing its just a stepping stone for people to make their debut as pros
thats why amateur boxing is never televised its more boring than a cory spinks fight

Take antonio margarito for example, he breaks so many rules in boxing, his head movement isnt great, his jab is terribly slow, he telegraphs just about all his punches and his footwork isnt exactly great, however he is basically all offense for the most part and he hits hard. This is a product of having to develop quickly and bring in money as opposed to slowly developing yourself into a more complete fighter, this is the case with alot of mexican born fighters.
even the cash prizes are extremely low
for most guys who want to break out of poverty is better just debuting at professional

there is no passion involved and those head gears are gay there is no way u can beat ur opponent face into a pulp
How can you say there is no passion involved, when fighters who ARE NOT BEING PAID choose to put their heart and soul into years worth of work, to participate in the olympics which only comes every 4 years, knowing they could be eliminated in their first fight?

because most of these guys are young and hungery for fighters.
just because they are wearing head gears doesnt mean a thing, There are people who could beat you in pulp even if you are wearing headgear.
Have you seen Jirov vs Tarver? Vargas vs Corely? ...etc
