You're obviously a fat yank so you wouldn't know, but we've had some ****ed up weather here in the UK lately. It may not be due to global warming but those ****in polar icecaps are melting like ****. I don't know what they teach in your yank schools apart from how to be a fundementalist christian and how to eat, but here we were taught that when ice gets hot it melts.

We always have floods, its nothing new, it's what happends if you build on flood plains. Rivers are meant to burst there banks every now and then and they replinesh the soil on land.

Rainfall generally above average, and well above average across parts of eastern Scotland and north-east England. However, rainfall was actually below average most of Northern Ireland. Sunshine generally above average, but below average across parts of northern England and southern Scotland.

Weybourne (Norfolk) recorded a maximum temperature of 22.0 °C on the 26th. Blencathra (Cumbria) recorded a minimum temperature of -7.7 °C on the 6th. During the 6th an area of sleet and snow moved across much of the Midlands and SE England with 5 to 10 cm reported fairly widely, causing Heathrow airport to close for a time.
