I don't normally discuss politics on these forums, but I'll put my .02 in here, since you brought up Bush:

This guy does do everything he can to ensure our country's safety, and has consistantly, unlike some past presidents. However, if you don't believe he's doing just as much as he can to increase his own family fortune, you're delusional. He is largely responsible for the "Global Warming" scare (check the record books, we've actually cooled off significantly in the last 10 years, biggest cool off in over 100 years) by buying into the ******* PC bull****. He's also, almost exclusively, directly responsible for our high fuel prices due to his continued refusal to get hardline on the matter with OPEC, Venez. and other suppliers. There IS NO FUEL SHORTAGE, never has been, and won't be for the foreseeable future. Have you ever had trouble actually buying gas? I'm not talking about being able to pay for it, I mean actually buying it. No, and you won't, because oil companies are only too happy to sell you all you can stand, at the current pricing, and would be happy to do so for all eternity while banking every penny you can afford to spend on it.

Everything I stated (regarding oil shortages and global warming) can be verified in dozens of places. Do some research for yourself instead of believing everything the global warming nutjobs try to ram down your throat.

Au contraire, the nutjobs are not the "global warming" crew. It's the people who are denying that there is any climate change at all occurring who are the nutjobs. Mainstream climate science fully accepts that the climate is changing, that the global trend is a net temperature increase, that this change is going to have major effects on local weather and conditions and that human beings, in particular human industry, is responsible for the major part of the change. The debate in climatology circles is about the best course of action to counter the change (and no, Kyoto is not the way to go...), not about whether it has happened. These assertions have been established via hundreds of scientific reports submitted to peer reviewed journals. And no, Rush Limbaugh phone-in does not qualify as "peer review".

The global temperature peaked 10 years ago, that is fact, and can be referenced ANYWHERE on the internet, and we've experienced nearly a full degree of cooling (the most dramatic in over 100 years) since then. I am NOT going to debate this ad-nauseum with a fanatic who wouldn't disbelieve the global warming hype if he were sitting in a foot of snow in a Florida July. Your "people" are now claiming that global cooling is masking the global warming. How ****ing nuts is that? Sure, Co2 is high, but there is also no direct correlation between mean temperature and Co2 levels, contrary to popular theory.

Umm. I don't know if this has occured to anyone but Co2 is Carbon Dioxide. We EXHALE carbon dioxide when we breath. Plants INHALE carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. In order to get rid of carbon dioxide EVERYONE WOULD HAVE TO STOP BREATHING; and at THAT point all the plants would die because they would have nothing to breath in.

Sorry Squel but a recent report says there will be no more warming for the next 15 years and to expect global cooling, global warming recently changed its name to Climate Change. It's a scam, it gives the excuse to over tax us. China had the coldest winter on record so did Argentina in the past year, America had one of the worst winters it's ever had. We are no where near pumping as much CO2 as there was in the past, they would have you believe the contary. We haven't had a warmer year since 1998, yes on average over the years it's slightly gone up but it starting to go down once more. It's a natural cycle, what annoys me most it takes the world's eye of more important issues like deforestation, I mean bio-fuel is the biggest disaster waiting to happen.

You're obviously a fat yank so you wouldn't know, but we've had some ****ed up weather here in the UK lately. It may not be due to global warming but those ****in polar icecaps are melting like ****. I don't know what they teach in your yank schools apart from how to be a fundementalist christian and how to eat, but here we were taught that when ice gets hot it melts.
