Kostya was the ****. I couldnt believe he got KO'ed by "Cool" Vince Phillips.

That was a good find. Tszyu was a brilliant amateur which was why they put him in a title match in his 14th pro fight.

I think this was Kostya's second run in the Olympics, wasnt it?

Tyszu is one of the few fighters that I believe could have been a world champ on his pro debut...depending on the opponent.

but he was incredibly talented and technically sound, even very early in his pro career. and that was against really good competition, too

from what ive seen of him, he seemed to have problems with pressure fighters.

still crazy that Phillips beat him...

Man, that is a great video. I really do think Tszyu was one of the best amateur boxers I've ever seen. I also think if he had stayed on training in Russia he may have kept up this type of boxing. He had great head movement, lightning fast hands and, of course, still had great power.

If he had kept up this style in the pros instead of going so much for power, he would have been unbeatable!

Nonetheless, great fighter and very underrated. Goes to show those who say he couldn't box. Maybe that's why he was so good against slick boxers?
