At the time yes 175 was where the money was but Joe C was making alot of money by staying at home fighting in front of 20,000+ opponent.

A lot of money? Don't be fooled by gate numbers. Calzaghe would've made more money fighting the Jones & Tarvers of the world. ****, he just recently got a career high payday against Hopkins, making as much as Jones did for fighting Julio Gonzalez.

Just watched the Eubank fight back for like the 2nd time, and have to say firstly Eubank was not washed up or old, he like many of Joes opponents, just couldn't get through, when he rarely did couldn't hurt him.

He beat Chris by a wide margin, knocked him down twice, hurt him, and ring side post fight said I beat him easily. True, he did. Yet late on he still says that was his toughest fight. He really has just never majorly struggled that badly to a win, closest being when he was ill and injured against Reid, and against spoiler Hops, even then a good few rounds clear.
