Enrique... was that recently when we met? I was at the Sun not long ago and spoke for a few with one of the guards at the back entrance, over by the parking garage. Was that you?

                    John,

May I be in your book? I couldve been great. I just started late and didnt have the time to get real serious about the sport. I once sparred a kid named Myles, from Philly. HE once sparred a guy that fought Camacho jr. and dropped him. He did NOTHING of the sort sparring me. He couldnt get past my lanky, stiff jab. I was dancing around like so.........and popping him with my jab and following up with right hands, like so... ..

the trainer was getting frustrated with Myles cuz he had been boxing a couple years and I had only been in and out of the gym for a month or so..

He started yelling at Myles " if you cant hit em in the face then go to his body"... Myles then proceeded to give me a Cotto, Micky Ward type beating. I ended up with a brusied rib. TRUE STORY.

can you put THAT in your book?

                    Carlos Verde

Yes, my pops used to box in St. Louis and across the nation and world. His name is Vincent Webb! He is very well known around St. Louis and the country as an am. boxer. Yes, he is definitely one of them. The USA today actually picked him to win the Olympic Gold Medal in 84. He kinda got messed over at the camp up in Colorado Springs and Jerry Paige went to make the Olympic team and won the gold. But pops beat Jerry Paige twice! Pops has an OUTSTANDING am. resume. He came up with that 84 Olympic class. My godfather's (Milton McCrory) lil brother, Stevie McCrory who own the gold, Sweet Pea who won the gold, Evander, Breland who won the gold, Meldrick Taylor who won gold, Biggs who won gold. However, his pro career never took off like he wanted, he was hampered by upper respiratory problems...
