That guy he was fighting had a tough chin.
The reason he didnt use his boxing ability was because of his Mexican machismo.
Angulo is still young he'll be a future Mexican great.

I'm confident that his body can take anything Cotto dishes out.
If he can take shots from Alfredo Angulo then he can easily take Cottos shots.
Not to sound bogus or anything but sparring is way different then actual fighting ie. your wearing headgear, protective gear. Did they spar without head gear/protective gear? If so,hats off to him.

Really dude? I thought it was a very entertaining fight, the best of the night IMO. I agree Angulo could of looked better but that Colombian cat he was fighting was pretty tough.

The only protection you get when you spar is usually head gear, and bigger gloves to absorb some of the punches. The stomach is open except for the foul protector cub they wear. Mexican fighters are usually known to go at it pretty hard during sparring sessions anyway, no Mickey Mouse ****.

Samuel Peter was also known to have a big chin as he took punches from fighters like Wlad Klitschko and never got hurt.

Yet he got rocked against McCline - a guy Klitschko hurt and Peter couldn't hurt at all.

I'm just saying, if you don't have good defense you chin isn't always a guarantee if you get hit on the right spot.

From what I've heard Philadelphia fighters take the cake in terms of hardcore sparring.

It's cool bro, I wasn't trying to say that Mexican boxers spar any different than other fighters, I just said they are known to go at it pretty hard during sparring. I'm sure it goes the same way in other countries.
