Actually Floyd hurt his hand in Floyd/Castillo I and he had to pick his spots. Minus a busted hand, he handled Castillo in the rematch. But the results will be the same, Floyd will beat Cotto.
From what I know it was his shoulder, but in the rematch, the plan was also different. I think at the time Mayweather as adjusting his style. As a result of passing from Floyd Sr. to Roger, he was turning more aggressive, unfortunately Castillo was the wrong guy to to do aggression practice with.

We'll see if Cotto has better conditioning against Margarito or else Cotto will run from Margarito in the later rounds too. If Cotto can go hard the last 3 rounds against Margarito then I say he can do the same against any boxer.
No doubt Mayweather finishes stronger than Cotto, but Cotto doesnt gas out like Oscar either. What I want to convey is that if boxing and moving doesnt work for csoring rounds, and Mayweather realizes that he will switch it up.

I do not think Oscar cuts the ring off better than Cotto, but I think Oscar has a better jab than Cotto. i dont think anyone can outthink Floyd among active fighters, maybe, MAYBE Hopkins.

If Mayweather loses his reflexes and hand speed then he will probably get beat by Cotto.
Hmmm.... I dont know, we are not talking about a Roy Jones type of fighter here, Mayweather's style(s) should allow him to be a top notch fighter even if he loses a half step, I think a little slower Mayweather might still win, and in a much more pleasant fashion.

Floyd is not Mosley, Mosley is a very busy fighter, he didn't take away Cotto's body attack he took punishment and fought back, I don't see Floyd doing that. Floyd is a defensive fighter that throws one punch at a time he likes to languish on the ropes block your shots, potshot you and moves. It worked against Hatton and DLH but it won't work against Cotto.

Cotto's very smart too and he will make Floyd fight. Cotto going to hit his arms, shoulders whatever he can hit he will and Floyd is going to have to fight back to keep Cotto off of him. If Mayweather fights Cotto like he did DLH he is in for a very painfull night.
cott has no right hand.........his best bet is to hit floyd low like he does everyone from torres, judah, and corley..........floyd is better than shane mosley........he is younger........and does everything better than shane..........floyd can fight inside and out........but i know you ar worried cotto might lose to margs..........lol.....if anyone has a flawed opinion on who wins between cotto-floyd, it is you............floyd can do it all.........i said the longer floyd gets used to welter........the worst off it is for margs and cotto when they face him..........

Floyd does overall. He jabs well to the body too. But Cotto does have that KD power in his jab.

That sums it up. Cotto's jab is a nice snapping power punch, but Mayweather does a lot of things with his jab.

Cotto has a stronger jab....Mayweather has the better jab...and he can set up everypunch after a jab.

I wouldn't say Cotto is a real pressure fighter anyway if people are saying to pressure Floyd.
Cotto takes a lot of breaks in his fight, and goes on the backfoot a lot.

There is nothing in Mayweather's arsenal that can keep Cotto from coming in.

Mayweather doesn't have a response when you are jabbing him to the face..
Cotto will do this effectively and better then DLH, giving him openings.

Cotto will look to corner Mayweather on the ropes and once there will punish him both to the head and body.

Cotto actually has head movement and can bob and weave so he will be able to accomplish this unlike Hatton.

I see Cotto making Mayweather have to fight like Duran did Leonard in their first fight.

                    Cotto by close decision.

                      1) Cotto and Mayweather are even in the stamina department

                      2) Mayweather does not react the same when Pressured (Castillo, Zab, Oscar)

                      2) There is nothing...absolutely "NOTHING", Floyd Mayweather can throw to keep Miguel Cotto off of him for 12 rounds!!!

Mayweather will not have his feet planted against Cotto. Translation: Lighting quick, check hooks, blistering combo's..but no power shots. Mayweather's power shots will land on Cottos gloves Like Shane Mosely's over hand right.

I GURANTEEEEEEEEEE YOU. I will go back to thi sone post after the fight is signed and over with. Then I will post this and this
