Dropped by a single punch from a 40 year old cruiserweight, pretty impressive, eh? Not to mention that Thompson was floored by middleweight Chris Eubank over 6 years prior.

            1. Puritty was a 249 lb HW
            2. Puritty never floored Wlad
            3. Wlad went 10 rounds with Puritty before he ran out of gas and his corner threw in the towel
            4. Wlad was a couple of years younger than Haye was.
            5. Puritty was 24-13-1 when Wlad fought him in his 25th fight in less than two years as a pro.

Thompson never floored haye either, your double standards are pathetic...you sir are as delusional as the **********s who think Clinton still has a chance

Haye and Wlad were both 22 in their losses, the thing was Wlad lost to a journeymen/bum who did not even have half more wins than his losses where Haye lost to a guy who beat Eubank & Rothmann and was a former cruiserweight champion. Bottom line is I would rather lose a guy who has a winning record and actually beat contenders in his division/ was top 10 in the rankings, rather than a guy who is a journeyman and probably not even ranked anyone near the top 100

like i said...pretty ****ing embarrasing....atleast a 40 year old Sanders KTFO of Wlad in 2 rounds, but you can say Sanders was a good fighter who had only been stopped by Hasim Rahman and Nate tubbs before...BUT ross ****ing purrity a 33 year old bum with a losing record nor ranked anywhere near the top 50 who wlad was supposed to KO in 2 or 3 rounds, beat him

Yes, Carl Thompson did stop Eubank but this was at 190 pounds. Eubank was the superior man but Thompson was bigger. The stoppage wasn't very convincing either.

Haye took some beating in that fight with Thompson. What was most worrisome was that Haye showed poor survival skills in not knowing how to clinch and buy time. I attribute the chin in this fight to the weight and a vulnerability to right hand punching.

                      1. Thompson most certainly floored Haye and was about to put his lights out when Hayes corner threw in the towel
                      2. Haye was almost 24 when Thompson owned him, not 22.
                      3. Who the hell is Rothman?
                      4. Why do you think a win over a middleweight is impressive for a cruiserweight?
                      5. Thompson never won a world title in his career.
                      6. Sanders was 37 when he fought Wlad.
