I'll say that boxing is the purest sport. Football, baseball, and (especially) basketball are all fun to play, but ****** and boring to watch. The pathetic tendancy of un-athletic losers to live vicariously through professional athletes is sad, in my opinion. And thinking of those athletes as heros, is nothing short of absurd. Most of them are greedy, childish, arrogant pricks. If people want heros, they should look at truly heroic men (and women) like astronauts, war heros, firemen, rescue swimmers, etc.

Astronauts why are they heroes? Who have they saved?
Get paid to go to space. What a hero.

You obviously have no idea of the intelligence, discipline and training it takes to become and astronaut, let alone the courage to get your ass shot into orbit from a vehicle that tends to explode on takeoff, and reentry both. If you do the math, astronauts are more likely to be killed than nearly anybody. Being an astronaut was my life's dream, as a little boy. Shepherd and all the others were among my heros, as were Einstein, Audie Murphy, and my grandfather.

And another thing: Most astronauts are military, and get paid military wages. While officers do make decent money, they ain't gettin' rich.

Just because you are intelligence, discipline and train a lot doesn’t make you a hero A hero is a man or woman of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. Millions of people would take the chance to go to other space. I would be one for certain.

I will say this...boxing is the most physically demanding sport. I know from playing almost all sports one time or another. In baseball you can show up outta shape and still have success. Basketball maybe, football maybe but in boxing your likely to get destroyed. Also there is more strategy to boxing than all sports. It requires a level of knowledge in all disciplines on the sport where is in basketball players like duncan never really have to work on there handles, 3 point shots ect and football players only have to know position specific techniques and assignments.


But overall my favorites are

4 track and field
