I agree. It has every element that ANY other sport has, except you risk your life at a much higher capacity to do it. Only sport you live, and controls your life. You box, there's no PLAYING boxing. No playing about it.Comment

Co-sign. Boxing is the ****. It ain't a game. Nobody plays boxing. An off night can literally ruin or kill you in the prize ring.Comment

Like someone already said... you can't play boxing. Boxing is sanctioned war between two humans.
Baseball is also good. There has to be a winner, you can steal if you don't get caught, and the officials have a lot of power, but players still scream in their faces.Comment

I'll say that boxing is the purest sport. Football, baseball, and (especially) basketball are all fun to play, but ****** and boring to watch. The pathetic tendancy of un-athletic losers to live vicariously through professional athletes is sad, in my opinion. And thinking of those athletes as heros, is nothing short of absurd. Most of them are greedy, childish, arrogant pricks. If people want heros, they should look at truly heroic men (and women) like astronauts, war heros, firemen, rescue swimmers, etc.Comment

In my humble opinion, the greatest heroes were the great enlightened people of the past who were not only philosophers, but scientists, journalists, artists, etc. and devoted their whole life to the acquisition of knowledge for the benefit of humankind.Comment
