Miguel Cotto: "If Mayweather Don't Want Me, It Doesn't Matter"

Miguel Cotto will fight anybody. Floyd admitted to taking a fight for money over fighting the tougher challenger. He refuses to face tougher competition if there's not as much money involved. That is proof of his fear of losing. He doesn't care about his legacy. He cares about his bank. He is not a true, fighting champion. Just because he's been given the #1 p4p ranking (which won't last much longer, mind you), doesn't mean he's earned the right to fight has-beens, smaller men, and run his mouth without backing it up.

This is the kind of attitude I most associate Cotto with. He isn't your typical fighter who will drop names and gain attention by calling people out. When he says, "Bob Arum will handle it," he really means it.

Cotto has an almost zen-like approach to the fights. He doesn't like to talk about the past, the past is just the past. He doesn't like to speculate on the future either, to him that's irrelevant to now. He likes to talk about fight philosophy and other things.

I think he knows that focusing on Mayweather instead of Margarito is a very dangerous thing to do. It seems as if he refuses to expend any energy on Mayweather.

Also: What has the sport become if the "champ" has such feminine requirements? Does Floyd need to be "courted" like a bytch? Or is Floyd a TRUE fighter who recognizes a real challenge?

At this point, it's a lot easier to be a Cotto fan. How do Mayweather fans sleep at night knowing they root for a punk????

U keep insinuating that all Cotto has to do is call Floyd out in order for Floyd to take the fight, when in reality, Floyd has never made such a claim. Funny how Cotto was able to land all of his fights thus far without calling any of them out. Does that mean that Cotto was also scared of Judah, Quintana, Mosley, Margarito? He didnt call those guys out, yet the fights got made.

This coming from a guy who holds Baldomir higher than Cotto,Mosley, and Quintana because he happened to hold titles at the time Floyd fought him. LOL.
