Revisiting Oscar vs Mosley 2, Who really won?

    Your thoughts?

    I had Oscar winning 7-5. Oscar won the 1st 6 rds , 4-2. They split the next 6, 3 a piece.

I was reading the Ring mag from that fight, and i still cannot understand how they scored it for Mosley , 117-113.

That translates to 7 for Mosley, only 3 for Oscar and 2 even.

The Ring is supposed to be the authority, but they were wayyyyyyyyy off on this one.

    117-111 = 9 for Mosley and 3 for Oscar.

I had it 115-113 for Mosley, but the fact that Mosley looked so disencouraged and the fight was really close any how I have no problem with people saying Oscar won.

I thought Mosley won. He landed the meaningful punches and dominated the late rounds. Just like in the Trinidad fight, Lampley had a lot of people fooled into thinking DLH was winning all the early rounds with his pitty pat punches.

Mosley won the first one, Oscar won the second one. That's how I've always thought it went.

I awarded the rds where Mosley actually did something, he was so inactive. the rds where he landed harder sjots, he obviously won. However, i thought Oscar outboxed him and Shane knew it at the end of the fight with that expression of shock.

The Rings score was totally absurd, borderline comical. Only giving oscar 3 rds????????

Absolutely - Moseley did nothing in the first half of the fight - although Moseley did land some hard effective shots, Oscar was still active and fighting back...

                  poor judging.

20 effective pittypat punches > 1 good inefective punch...

by this i mean some guys give themeselves distance and get points by throwing and landing a lot of punches(ans oscar's a good enough natural puncher that his pitty pat isnt exactly worthless)........so what if they get hit with 1 or 2 good hard shots(which is the best mosley landed for at least 7-8 rounds) if they arent even slowing them down or hurting them???....
