the people at welterweight are way to big for hatton, looking at hattons amateur career, he even struggled then at welterweight. hes only 5ft 6 remember, most welterweights are 6ft+. ricky would demolish anyone at lww, ricardo torres for example is just another juan urango, he has a good dig but has no boxing skills whatsoever, so probably would land next to nothing punches on ricky throughout the fight.

doubt it they both come in with there face wide open I take it you didnt watch the katsidis vs casamayor fight?
Hatton has a better chin then Katsidis in my opinion.
there would be a ton of headbutts in that fight they would both come forward lunging in.

The only welterweight over 6ft I can think of that's active is Paul Williams, that statement's not accurate. That said it is clear that Hatton is too small for welter. I would love a Hatton vs. Pacquioa fight!!

I guess you'd rather see him slaughtered by much bigger guys like Cotto or Margarito? Katsidis 5 pounds south and Pacquiao, 148 fight night and same height as Hatton but much longer reach, soooooo much smaller.

He's a jr. welterweight. There are some decent names at 140, at least as valid as fighting Katsidis - Kendall Holt, Ricardo Torres, Devon Alexander, Timothy Bradley... or fellow countryman Gavin Rees. None of those guys are under contract with Golden Boy, though, I guess...

I think Hatton losing to Diaz or Pac hurts his overall reputation though...

Hatton is gonna retire soon he wants to go out with a **** by fighting big names, something which the jr ww division lacks.
